Red is not only a colour, red is also an association of concepts which are defined under this pigment. Red is love, passion, boudoir philosophy or Venus in furs. Feminine lips are silhouetted red for their love dates, nails are dyed red and red is the wrapping paper of a gift, fruit of the desire to conquest.

Cupid’s arrows go through a red heart as a wounded Saint Sebastian. Red over immaculate white spills the juice of the forbidden fruit, yesteryear’s virginity trophy.

The neurons which control love sensations are shocked, fluctuating red as intermittent and uncontrolled traffic lights.

On February the 14th society goes crazy with a silly concept of platonic love. They dance unisonous together with Socrates in Plato’s lips, D.H. Laurens and the character of Odette of Marcel Proust in “In Search of Lost Time”.

Red on red, wine red, blood red. Eternal drama, disappointed love, unjustified or justified jealousy; treachery to parents, besmirched husbands. Changes in history such as when the Governor Don Julian by the conflicts of the King with his daughters allowed the troops of Muza …..pass by Ceuta. Lives written since classics, legends told next to the fire, about gods and their lovers quarrels and companion of society up until there possible disappearance from this planet.

Sweet melodies of honeymoon. Savage stabs, destroyed families, orphan children, lives snatched away by cruel passions, blinded men and unstoppable statistics of violence, all this is red on red.
This exhibition is put forward in 40 cm of different realities of the same point of inflexion: that madness called love, capable of conquering mountains and of snatching lives away under its effects.
